of <h1>DGFT Amends Foreign Trade Policy: Shredded Scrap Imports Restricted to Bandar Abbas, Iran for Public Safety. Effective Immediately.</h1> The Director General of Foreign Trade has amended the Handbook of Procedures (Vol. I) 2004-09 under the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-09. The amendment specifies that the import of scrap is restricted to shredded form from designated ports listed in Annexure - II to Appendix - V. The only specified port for shipment of shredded metallic scrap is Bandar Abbas, Iran. These changes are made in the public interest and are effective immediately as per Public Notice No. 53/2005 dated September 19, 2005.
