of <h1>Foreign Trade Policy 2004-2009: EOUs, EHTPs, STPs, BTPs, and SEZs Simplify Registration; Spices Still Need Spices Board Approval.</h1> Amendments to the Handbook of Procedures, Vol. 1, under the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-2009, have been announced. Sub-paragraph 6.34 (14) has been updated to specify that Export Oriented Units (EOU), Electronic Hardware Technology Parks (EHTP), Software Technology Parks (STP), and Biotechnology Parks (BTP) will not require a separate Registration-cum-Membership Certificate, except for spices, which must register with the Spices Board. Similarly, sub-paragraph 7.32.2 states that Special Economic Zone (SEZ) units and developers will have the Development Commissioner as their registering authority, with the same exception for spices.
