<h1>DGFT Updates TRQ Scheme: New Import Quotas and Duties for Milk Powder, Maize, and Oils in Handbook Amendment.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has amended the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.1, under the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-2009, regarding the Tariff Rate Quota (TRQ) Scheme. The amendments specify import quotas and concessional customs duties for skimmed and whole milk powder, maize, crude sunflower or safflower oil, and refined rape, colza, or mustard oil. Various national and state entities are eligible to apply for these quotas. Applications must be submitted to the Exim Facilitation Committee by March 1st preceding the quota year, and imports must be completed by March 31st of the financial year. The Exim Facilitation Committee will allocate quotas by March 31st each year.
