of <h1>Foreign Trade Policy Update: Export House Status, EPCG Scheme, and SEZ Registration Simplified in Handbook Amendment.</h1> The Director General of Foreign Trade has amended the Handbook of Procedures (Vol. I) under the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009. Key changes include allowing the FOB value of exports from certain units to be combined with their parent company's exports for Star Export House Status. New provisions for the clearance of capital goods in the Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) under the EPCG Scheme have been introduced, with applicable duties and import policies in force. Additionally, the Development Commissioner will serve as the registering authority for SEZ units and developers, eliminating the need for a separate registration certificate.
