of <h1>Amendments Suspend SION for Engineering Products; Exporters Can Use Self-Declaration for Advance Licenses per Handbook Para 4.7.</h1> The Director General of Foreign Trade has announced amendments to the Handbook of Procedures, Vol. 2, 2002-2007, specifically regarding the Standard Input Output Norms (SION) for the engineering product group. SION at Sl. No. C-381 is suspended pending review by the Advance Licensing Committee. During this suspension, exporters can obtain advance licenses under the Duty Exemption Scheme through self-declaration, as outlined in paragraph 4.7 of the Handbook of Procedures, from the relevant Regional Licensing Authorities. This amendment is issued in the public interest.
