Procedure for Importing Items Under Tariff Rate Quota for 2002-2003: Key Deadlines and Eligibility Requirements.
The circular outlines the procedure for importing specific items under the Tariff Rate Quota (TRQ) for 2002-2003. Eligible entities, including various national boards and corporations, can import skimmed and whole milk powder, maize, crude sunflower seed or safflower oil, and refined rape, colza or mustard oil. These imports must be conducted on behalf of actual users. Applications for quotas must be submitted to the Directorate General of Foreign Trade by January 22, 2003, and imports completed by March 31, 2003. Failure to import within the timeframe results in ineligibility for future quotas for two years. The Exim Facilitation Committee will allocate the quotas.
