of <h1>DGFT Revises Indian Rupee Value for Deferred Payment Contracts with Former USSR; New Rate Effective June 27, 2002.</h1> The public notice issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) revises the Indian Rupee value of the special currency basket for deferred payment contracts between the Government of India and the former USSR. These contracts, governed by protocols dated April 30, 1981, and December 23, 1985, involve the delivery of machinery and equipment from the USSR to India. The revised Rupee value, effective from June 27, 2002, is set at 55.7981. This revision applies to all deferred payment contracts under the specified protocols.
