of <h1>EPCG units can export cotton yarn without domestic restrictions until Dec 31, 2001, within 500M kg limit.</h1> EPCG units facing restrictions on count or sourcing of domestic cotton are allowed to export cotton yarn without these restrictions until December 31, 2001. This amendment to Public Notice No. 51 (RE-2000)/1997-2002, issued under the Export & Import Policy 1997-2002, specifies that such exports must remain within the overall quantitative ceiling of 500 million kilograms. This directive, issued by the Director General of Foreign Trade, is intended to serve the public interest.
