The limits are set at 500 million kilograms for cotton yarn of 1 to 40s counts and 20 million kilograms for hank yarn of 1 to 60s counts. Exemptions from these limits include exports by 100% Export Oriented Units, exports under the advance license scheme, exports based on imported cotton, and exports of processed yarn, among others.
