of <h1>India Updates Trade Rules: Imports/Exports Allowed with All Nations Except Iraq Without UN Approval.</h1> An amendment to Paragraph 4.2 of the Handbook of Procedures Vol.I (RE-2000), 1997-2002 has been issued by the Director General of Foreign Trade. The amendment specifies that import and export activities are valid with all countries except Iraq, unless there is specific provision otherwise. However, exports to or imports from Iraq are permissible if prior approval is obtained from the United Nations Security Council's sanctions committee. This amendment is issued in the public interest by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
