of <h1>DGFT amends Handbook: Duplicate licenses match original validity; Appendix 40 updates eligible agencies for Deemed Export benefits.</h1> The Director General of Foreign Trade has issued amendments to the Handbook of Procedures (Vol. 1) for the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002. The amendments include changes to Paragraph 4.19, sub-paragraph 3, regarding the validity of duplicate licenses, which will now align with the original license validity. In cases where a DEPB or Advance License is lost under the custody of DGFT/Customs, a duplicate will be revalidated for six months without requiring an FIR. Additionally, updates to Appendix 40 involve changes to the list of agencies eligible for Deemed Export benefits, specifically including the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the International Development Association.
