of <h1>Export Rules Updated: New Criteria for Digital Computers & Software in ITC (HS) Schedule 2, Appendix 6.</h1> The Director General of Foreign Trade has amended Schedule 2, Appendix 6 of the ITC (HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items 1997-2002. The amendment changes the description of 'Parallel processing Super Computers' to 'Digital Computers and Software,' specifying digital computers with a Composite Theoretical Performance (CTP) exceeding 2000 Mtops and software designed to enhance digital computer performance. Digital computers with a CTP of 2000 Mtops or less do not require an export license unless supplied with software designed for parallelization. The amendment includes various types of digital computers and equipment designed for image enhancement or signal processing.
