of <h1>Export Rules Updated: Shellac Requires Registration, Sandalwood Deadline Extended, Sample Exports Follow Handbook Para 4.32.</h1> The Director General of Foreign Trade has amended Schedule 2 of the ITC (HS) Classification of Export and Import Items for 1997-2002. The amendments require registration with the Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India Ltd. or the Shellac Export Promotion Council for the export of shellac and all forms of lac. Additionally, the entry at Serial No. 17 (I) is deleted, and the entry at Serial No. 21 is revised to state that the export of samples will follow the provisions of para 4.32 of the Handbook of Procedure. The deadline for certain sandalwood export conditions is extended to September 30, 1999.
