of <h1>Amendment to Export-Import Policy: Para 5.40 Allows Import of Key Packaging and Trimming Items License-Free.</h1> An amendment has been made to the Handbook of Procedures (Vol.1) (RE-98), 1997-2002, under the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002. As per the new amendment, Paragraph 5.40 now allows the import of specific items such as labels, price tags, hangers, PVC boxes, inlay cards, printed bags, stickers, and trimming materials like buttons, belts, shoulder pads, buckles, eyelets, hooks and eyes, and rivets without a license. These items can be supplied by foreign buyers or procured by exporters based on foreign buyers' advice for specific orders placed by foreign buyers on Indian exporters. This change is made in the public interest.
