Import of plastic waste: DGFT removes specific exclusion wording from a Handbook provision, altering import regulation. The Director General of Foreign Trade amended Chapter 5 of the Handbook of Procedures, Vol. 1 by deleting the words 'All types of plastic wastes / scrap (except PET bottle waste / scrap) and' from para 5.3(b), under authority of the Export and Import Policy and by Public Notice No. 56(RE-98)/1997-2002 dated 13 November 1998.
