DGFT Amends End Use Certificate: Export License Applications Now Require Importer Details and Confirmed Export Order Copy.
The Director General of Foreign Trade has amended the End Use Certificate in the Hand Book of Procedures Vol. 1 for 1997-2002. The amendment specifies that the certificate, required for export license applications, must include details such as the importer's name, the quantity and type of goods being imported, and their specific use. It also requires a declaration that the imported items will not be used for any other purpose, nor transferred or re-exported. Exporters must provide a confirmed export order copy to customs and DGFT during shipment. This amendment is issued in the public interest.
