of <h1>Handbook of Procedures Amended: New Certification Agencies Added, Duty-Free Licenses Issued, Streamlined Export-Import Policy.</h1> The Director General of Foreign Trade has amended the Handbook of Procedures (Vol.1) for the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002. New certification agencies have been added under Appendices 32-A and 32-B, including Moody International (India) Pvt. Ltd., ABS Quality Evaluation Inc., and the British Standards Institution. Export Inspection Agencies have been added under HACCP Certification agencies. Licensing authorities may issue duty-free licenses based on adhoc norms. Amendments to paragraphs 7.5, 15.3, 7.45, 7.36, and 12.2(b) have been made, affecting licensing and certification processes. These changes aim to streamline procedures and are issued in the public interest.
