of <h1>India Revises Rupee Value for Russian Rouble in Deferred Payment Protocols with Former USSR, Effective December 5, 1997.</h1> The circular issued by the Government of India's Ministry of Commerce revises the Indian Rupee value of the Russian Rouble under the Deferred Payment Protocols between India and the former USSR. These protocols, dated April 30, 1981, and December 23, 1985, cover deferred payment contracts for machinery and equipment delivered from the USSR to India. The revised Rupee value, effective from December 5, 1997, is set at Rs. 47.4048. This adjustment applies to contracts under both protocols, as referenced in a previous public notice dated February 21, 1986.
