of <h1>Deadline Extended for Paper Fringe Benefit Tax Returns to November 2, 2007 Due to Work Disruptions.</h1> The Central Board of Direct Taxes, under section 119 of the Income-tax Act, 1961, has extended the deadline for filing fringe benefit tax returns due to work disruptions at various locations. Taxpayers who are required to submit their returns in paper format, excluding those mandated to file electronically, now have until November 2, 2007, to complete their submissions. This extension applies to returns initially due by October 31, 2007.
