of <h1>Duty-Free Import Authorization Benefits Apply to Exports to Rupee Payment Area Countries, Confirms DGFT.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade clarifies that the benefit of the Duty-Free Import Authorization (DFIA) scheme is applicable to physical exports made to Rupee Payment Area (RPA) countries. This clarification addresses concerns raised by the trade and industry regarding the scheme's applicability, as the specific paragraph reference was omitted in the Foreign Trade Policy. The DFIA scheme benefit is contingent upon meeting the value addition criteria, which must be the higher of the prescribed values in the DFIA scheme, Appendix 11 of the Handbook of Procedures, or specific product requirements under the Advance Authorisation scheme. This clarification is issued with the approval of the Competent Authority.
