of <h1>Clarification on Duty-Free Fuel Imports Under Advance Authorisation Scheme: Rules, Conditions, and SION Guidelines Explained.</h1> The circular clarifies the conditions for duty-free import of fuel under the Advance Authorisation Scheme. Duty-free fuel imports are permissible according to the quantities specified in the Standard Input Output Norms (SION). If fuel is not listed in SION, imports are still allowed under Advance Authorization, following conditions in the Foreign Trade Policy and Hand Book of Procedures. Applicants must specify the fuel type in their applications. The FOB value restriction in the General Note for Fuel does not apply to fuel imports under SION unless explicitly stated. This clarification is issued with the approval of the Director General of Foreign Trade.
