of <h1>India Approves One-Time Import of GM Soybean Oil for Consumption Under ITC(HS) Condition No. 18.</h1> The Genetic Engineering Approval Committee, under the Ministry of Environment and Forests, has granted a one-time approval for the import of genetically modified (GM) soybean oil derived from Round-up-Ready soybeans for consumption after refining. This approval aligns with Condition No. 18 of Chapter 1A of the ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items, 2004-2009. The Solvent Extractors' Association of India will provide monthly data on the import of GM soybean oil to the Department of Commerce. This circular is issued with the necessary authority's approval.
