Exporters Can Now Submit Tentative Dates for Self-Sealing; Shorter Notification Periods Allowed by Board.
The circular addresses issues faced by large manufacturer-exporters under the self-certification/self-sealing scheme, as outlined in a previous circular. Exporters have struggled to provide specific dates and times for sealing, stuffing, and clearance in their export plans. To alleviate this, the Board allows exporters to submit tentative dates and times. If specific details are provided, they will be accepted as due intimation. The Assistant or Deputy Commissioner may also permit a shorter notification period for these details.
