of <h1>Revised 2007-08 rules: Hotels and places of worship can import rough marble blocks under license, resale prohibited.</h1> Guidelines for the import of rough marble blocks and slabs for the year 2007-08 have been revised. The amendment allows hotels, recommended by the Ministry of Tourism, and places of worship, among others, to import rough marble blocks under a license on a need basis. However, the products manufactured from these imported goods are prohibited from being sold. This amendment has been approved by the competent authority and is issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade.
