of <h1>India Sets Floor Prices for Marble Imports: $325/Tonne for Blocks, $500/Tonne for Slabs in 2007-08 Guidelines.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade in India has issued guidelines for the import of rough marble blocks and slabs for the year 2007-08. The policy circular amends a previous circular, setting a floor price for licenses as follows: US$325 per metric tonne for crude or roughly trimmed marble and rough marble blocks, and US$500 per metric tonne for slabs. These prices are to be endorsed on all licenses. The circular is approved by the competent authority and communicated to all licensing authorities and customs commissioners.
