of <h1>Delhi VAT Return Deadline Extended to May 20, 2005, u/r 48; Tax Payment Still Due May 16, 2005.</h1> The Commissioner of Value Added Tax in Delhi extended the deadline for filing VAT returns for the fourth quarter of 2004-2005 from May 16, 2005, to May 20, 2005, due to weekend holidays and long queues on the original deadline. However, the deadline for tax payment remained May 16, 2005. This decision was made under the authority granted by Rule 48 of the Delhi Sales Tax Rules 1975, following requests from trade associations. The circular was distributed to relevant authorities and publicized for dealer awareness.
