of <h1>Export Warehousing Eligibility Updated: Includes Star Export Houses & More u/r 20, Central Excise Rules 2001.</h1> The circular issued by the Central Board of Excise & Customs specifies the class of exporters eligible for export warehousing under sub-rule 2 of Rule 20 of the Central Excise Rules, 2001, in alignment with Notification No. 46/2001-CE(NT). It updates the categories of exporters to include those recognized as Star Export Houses and above, as per the amended Foreign Trade Policy 2004-09. This includes reputable foreign departmental stores and automobile manufacturers with a Memorandum of Understanding with the Directorate General of Foreign Trade. The circular instructs trade and field formations to be informed of these amendments.
