of <h1>Non-Resident Deposits Return Upgraded to Version 3.0; New Currencies Added; Effective April 2007; Submit via Excel.</h1> The circular announces the upgrade of the Non-Resident Deposits-Comprehensive Single Return (NRD-CSR) from version 2.1(R) to version 3.0, effective from April 2007. This upgrade is due to modifications in the International Banking Statistics format, the addition of new currencies (AUD and CAD), and enhancements for user convenience. Banks authorized to deal in foreign exchange must submit revised Stat 5 and Stat 8 returns in Microsoft Excel format to the Reserve Bank of India. The circular provides detailed instructions on data reporting, including format specifications and code usage, under the Foreign Exchange Management Act 1999.
