of <h1>Air Conditioners Without Ozone-Depleting Substances Can Be Imported Freely, DGFT Clarifies Import Policy.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade has clarified that air conditioners not containing ozone-depleting substances (ODS) can be imported freely under both the EPCG Scheme and normal import procedures. This clarification comes in response to reports of Customs not allowing clearance of such air conditioners. The policy concerning air conditioners containing HCFC-22 is currently under review. This directive has been issued with the approval of the Director General of Foreign Trade.
