The Directorate General of Foreign Trade emphasizes the implementation of the validity period for Registration-Cum-Membership Certificates (RCMC) issued by Export Promotion Councils, as outlined in Para 3.12.3 of the Handbook of Procedure Vol I of the Foreign Trade Policy. The RCMC is valid from April 1 of the issuing licensing year for five years, ending March 31 of the final year, unless specified otherwise. Export Promotion Councils and Commodity Boards acting as such must adhere to this five-year validity provision. This directive is approved by the Director General of Foreign Trade.
