of <h1>Exporters Can Omit Buyer Details on Certificate of Origin to Protect Business Info, Per DGFT Circular, Appendix 4-C.</h1> The circular from the Directorate General of Foreign Trade addresses concerns from exporters about disclosing sensitive business information when applying for a Certificate of Origin (Non-preferential) through agencies listed in Appendix 4-C. To protect confidentiality, exporters are now permitted to leave the buyer's details in Column 2 of the certificate blank during the application process. This column can be completed after the certificate is certified and signed by the authorized agency. This change aims to safeguard confidential business information while still complying with procedural requirements.
