of <h1>Non-ODS Compressors Can Be Imported Without Registration, Confirms DGFT and Ministry of Environment & Forests Review.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade has clarified that compressors filled with non-Ozone Depleting Substances (non-ODS) or those without any refrigerant gas can be imported without the need for registration with the competent authority. This decision follows a review by the Ministry of Environment & Forests, which confirmed that registration requirements under the Ozone Depleting Substances (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000, apply only to compressors using ODS. Customs are therefore permitted to allow the import of such non-ODS compressors. This directive has been approved by the DGFT.
