of <h1>Clarification on EDI Application Submission: Date Set as E-Commerce Submission Date; Hard Copy Due in 15 Days.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade issued a circular clarifying the submission date for applications filed through the EDI mode. It addresses concerns from exporters about the acceptance of E-Commerce generated application numbers and dates by Regional Licensing Authorities (RLAs). The circular states that the submission date for E-Commerce applications will be the date the application is submitted and the file number is generated. However, the hard copy must be submitted within 15 days to the RLA. An amendment to the Handbook of Procedures will be made to reflect this clarification.
