It clarifies that these conditions do not apply to imports by units operating under Section 65 of the Customs Act, 1962, or as per paragraph 2.35 of the Exim Policy, 2002-2007. However, if any consignment using imported textile materials is released for home consumption, the testing condition must be applied. The directive is issued with the approval of the Director General of Foreign Trade.
