<h1>India Sets 500 Million Kg Export Limit on Cotton Yarn; Exemptions for EOUs and EPCG Units Until Dec 2000.</h1> The Government of India has established a ceiling of 500 million kg for exporting cotton yarn of 40s and below counts for the year 2000. Exemptions from this ceiling apply to 100% Export Oriented Units (EOUs) and Export Promotion Capital Goods (EPCG) units, allowing them to export cotton yarn without count or domestic cotton use restrictions until December 31, 2000. Additionally, a ceiling of 20 million kg is set for exporting hank yarn below 60s, with exemptions for 100% EOUs and units under the Advance Licensing Scheme. These measures are subject to annual review.
