<h1>India Allocates 10,500 Metric Tons of Raw Sugar for Export to EEC Under 1999-2000 Quota.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade has allocated 10,500 metric tons of free sale raw sugar from the 1998-99 season for export to the European Economic Community (EEC) under the 1999-2000 preferential raw sugar quota. This quantity is placed at the disposal of the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) for issuing the necessary Registration-cum-allocation Certificate to the Indian Sugar and General Industry Export Import Corporation Ltd., New Delhi. This corporation is the sole authorized agency to export the sugar, subject to pre-shipment certification by the Export Inspection Council.
