<h1>Exim Bank of India Offers $5M Credit Line to Boost Exports to Eastern and Southern African Nations.</h1> The Export-Import Bank of India has established a USD 5 million Line of Credit with the Eastern and Southern African Trade & Development Bank, effective February 17, 2006. This credit facilitates the export of eligible goods and services from India to 17 member countries of the PTA Bank in Eastern and Southern Africa. The deadlines for opening letters of credit and disbursement are August 16, 2007, and February 16, 2008, respectively. Exporters may use their resources or EEFC account balances for agency commission payments, with certain conditions. Authorized Dealer banks must inform exporters of these guidelines, issued under FEMA regulations.
