Repatriation period for export proceeds by EOUs, EHTP, STP and BTP units extended to 12 months
100% Export Oriented Units (EOUs) and units under EHTP, STP and BTP schemes are permitted an extended period for realisation and repatriation of export proceeds-twelve months from date of export instead of six months-thereby allowing full value of exports to be realised and repatriated within that period for exports made on or after 1 September 2004; existing requirement for 100% credit of foreign exchange earnings to EEFC accounts for these units remains unchanged, and Authorised Dealer banks are directed to notify their constituents.
