of <h1>Amendment to Notification No. 2/95-CE: Sale Permission Letter Now Sufficient for EOU and FTZ Goods into DTA.</h1> The circular addresses an amendment to Notification No. 2/95-CE, eliminating the need for a separate certificate from the Development Commissioner for goods cleared from Export Oriented Units (EOUs) or units in Free Trade Zones (FTZ) into the Domestic Tariff Area (DTA). The Ministry of Commerce and trade representatives requested this change to reduce paperwork and delays. The Board has decided that the sale permission letter issued by the Development Commissioner will suffice as a certificate under the notification. Pending cases should be resolved based on this clarification.
