of <h1>New Accounting Codes for Nine Taxable Services Under Major Head '0044-Service Tax' Effective June 16, 2005.</h1> The Principal Chief Controller of Accounts has introduced new Heads of Accounts under the Major Head '0044-Service Tax' for nine newly taxable services effective from June 16, 2005, and for the education cess on all taxable services. The new accounting codes are provided for each service, including transport of goods through pipelines, site formation, dredging services, and others. Service tax assessees are advised to use these codes for tax liabilities. A Trade Notice should be issued to publicize these changes. The codes include provisions for tax collection, other receipts, and refund deductions, with specific instructions for their use.
