Marina Shoes Limited was found to be wrongfully availing DEPB Credit on exported leather shoes. They imported unit soles duty-free under the DFRC Scheme and used them in exported products to claim DEPB benefits without paying basic customs duty. Authorities are advised to prevent such practices and recover any wrongfully availed DEPB benefits if scrips have been verified and imports allowed.
