Defective goods under SFIS/VKGUY can be re-exported within six months for 98% credit regeneration.
Goods imported under the Served from India Scheme (SFIS) and Vishesh Krishi and Gram Udyog Yojana (VKGUY) that are found defective or unfit for use can be re-exported according to guidelines from the Department of Revenue. The re-export must occur from the original port within six months of import, and the goods must remain unused. Upon re-export, 98% of the credit debited against the SFIS/VKGUY scrip will be regenerated as a certificate. This certificate allows the issuance of a new SFIS/VKGUY scrip for the same port, valid for the remaining period of the original scrip.
