Those filing more than five documents daily at a location are required to use ICEGATE instead of service centers. This requirement is based on a self-declaration of document volume over the past three months. The initiative aims to enhance efficiency as Indian Customs moves towards full computerization. The instructions are to be communicated to the trade community through a public notice.
