of <h1>Ministry of Finance Extends Warehousing Period for EOUs, EHTPs, and STPs; Simplifies License Renewal Process.</h1> The circular issued by the Ministry of Finance addresses the extension of the warehousing period for capital goods imported by Export Oriented Units (EOU), Electronic Hardware Technology Parks (EHTP), and Software Technology Parks (STP). It allows these units to extend the warehousing period of capital goods concurrently with the renewal of their warehousing licenses, simplifying the process and reducing administrative burdens. The maximum extension period is five years. The circular clarifies that this change does not affect the provisions regarding duty-free imports under existing notifications. The circular does not apply to raw materials and requests any implementation difficulties be reported to the Board.
