of <h1>Ramakrishna Mission in West Bengal Authorized to Issue Certificates for Customs Duty Exemption Under Notification No. 148/94-Cus.</h1> The Central Board of Excise and Customs has specified that the Ramakrishna Mission in West Bengal is eligible to issue certificates confirming the distribution of imported foodstuffs, medicines, and other perishable goods to the poor and needy, free of cost, as per Notification No. 148/94-Cus. This designation allows the Mission to fulfill the requirement of clause (v) of the notification, which mandates that importers provide a certificate from a specified institution to qualify for customs duty exemption. The Ramakrishna Mission is advised to designate authorized personnel to issue these certificates and inform the Customs House accordingly.
