New export rules cut physical checks for consignments under Rs. 1,00,000, promote self-certification for EOUs and EPZs under EXIM Policy
The circular revises procedures for export goods movement from factories and 100% EOUs/EPZs based on self-certification and reduces physical examination percentages. It mandates that only 10% of consignments shipped under Free Shipping Bills or by government/public sector units with export incentives below Rs. 1,00,000 be physically examined. For other exporters with incentives below Rs. 1,00,000, 50% of consignments will be examined, while consignments with incentives of Rs. 1,00,000 or above must undergo full examination. The self-certification facility applies to all EOUs/EPZ/EHTP/STP units granted specific status under the EXIM Policy. These changes are to be communicated to trade and departmental officers, with any implementation difficulties reported to the Board.
