of <h1>DGFT amends SION C-1579 to allow import of 'Billets of Iron/Low Carbon Steel' for Iron-Nickel Alloy exports.</h1> The public notice issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade modifies SION C-1579 under the Engineering Product Group. The amendment allows the import of an additional item, 'Billets of Iron/Low Carbon Steel for Remelting,' alongside 'Nickel Pellets and/or cathodes' for the export of Iron-Nickel Alloy(s) Wire/Strip. The import quantity remains 1.03 kg per kg content in the export product, with no changes to the export item description or quantity. This modification expands the permissible import items from one to two under the specified SION entry.
