<h1>Customs House Agents from 1984 Can Qualify for Licenses by Passing Additional Exams by December 31, 2012.</h1> The circular addresses the issue of granting Customs House Agent (CHA) licenses to individuals who passed the examination under the Customs House Agents Licensing Regulations (CHALR), 1984 but were not granted licenses. The Board has decided to allow these individuals to qualify in additional subjects by 31st December 2012, irrespective of the number of attempts, to become eligible for a CHA license under CHALR, 2004. The Directorate General of Inspection of Customs and Central Excise (DGICCE) will conduct the necessary examinations. Field officers are instructed to inform the trade through appropriate notices and guidelines.
