of <h1>Export Inspection Council Authorized to Issue Certificates of Origin for India-Japan Partnership; Appendix 4D Updated.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade has authorized the Export Inspection Council (EIC) to issue Certificates of Origin under the India-Japan Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IJCEPA). This change is reflected in the updated heading of Appendix 4D of the Handbook of Procedures Vol-I (2009-2014). The phrase 'India-Malaysia Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (IMCECA)' is now expanded to include IJCEPA. There are no changes to the content of Appendix 4D, and EIC remains the authorized agency for issuing these certificates. This update is effective immediately.
