<h1>DGFT Debars 178 Firms for Failing Cotton Export Compliance; Penal Actions u/s 11(2) of FTDR Act 1992.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) issued a trade notice regarding defaulters who failed to export allocated cotton quantities as per Policy Circular No. 09 and Trade Notice No. 01. Exporters were required to submit proof of shipments within 10 days of the last shipment. Those failing to comply or submitting incorrect documents are debarred from future allocations and may face penal action under Section 11(2) of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992. The notice includes a list of 178 firms debarred for non-compliance, with provisions for rectification if errors in reporting are identified. Penal actions are being processed separately.
